- Pick a few varying recipes on your level of difficulty, preferably something special that takes a little more time. Print them off and put them in a gift bag.
- Add a sweet note explaining the date. Mine had lines mimicking Iron Chef America, which is Ben’s favorite cooking show.
- Print this cover to attach to the gift bag, then present it to them the night before.
- Spend time picking a recipe together, then making the shopping list for tomorrow. You may also want to prep the kitchen for two cooks. Remember, this is supposed to be fun! I brought an extra card table into our small kitchen to add counter space so I could bake dessert while Ben cooked dinner.
Enjoy Date Night! Go shopping, cook your dinner, set the table, and enjoy wonderful company at home.
Here are some great recipes I recommend trying on your date night:
Bobby Flay’s Grilled Chicken Breast Stuffed with Goat Cheese with Smoked Chile Cilantro Sauce – This was our date night meal. LOVED it!
Emeril Lagasse’s Chicken and Herbed Dumplings – Fresh tarragon is essential.
