This week’s post is part of a blog hop where I’m joining with other bloggers to share 10 things you may not have known about us, just to get to know each blogger better. There are some great blogs on this list to check out!
Last week, my friend Jenny Cupido shared her list on her blog about marriage, motherhood, and faith. This week is my turn!
Ten Things You Didn’t Know About Jo…
1. I love watching the Food Network.
Especially Good Eats, Iron Chef, and Cutthroat Kitchen. However, for some reason I don’t enjoy cooking that much. Ben is our family chef. And a great one!
2. I love polar bears.
I even have photos of the Louisville Zoo’s cub on the fridge. Her name is Qannik. When she was a little baby, we went to the zoo every week…sometimes twice.
3. I (along with Ben) completed all 60 days of the Insanity program.
I’m embarrassed to say it was the first time in my life I could do real push-ups. It was also the start of some pretty healthy eating habits for us. Too bad my favorite food was (and unfortunately still is) ice cream. Graeter’s, to be specific.
4. I cry every time I read The Velveteen Rabbit.
5. I’ve watched every Seinfeld episode at least four times.
We saw Jerry in person a couple years ago, and when I visited the Smithsonian I made sure to see the puffy shirt. I guess you could say it’s my favorite show.
6. I never had any sports team loyalties – but married into all things Michigan.
Tigers, Wolverines, Lions, Red Wings, Pistons. The day we got engaged, Ben gave me a Michigan t-shirt to make things official.
7. I love going to garage sales.
I learned the art from my mom – a pro at mapping out a route and getting a deal. I can only really appreciate something if it was purchased used or on an incredible sale.
8. I’ve done sit-ups in the Dead Sea.
In December. I’m not sure which was crazier – floating in the salt water, or jumping in freezing cold water!
9. I’m incredibly introverted.
But I never realized that about myself until college. Not sure how I missed that! Now after anything really social, I want a day by myself. I’m capable of being outgoing – it just takes work.
10. We were married on the anniversary of the minister who officiated our wedding.
He and his wife were also married in the same church! We hope to have a marriage just as beautiful and sacrificial as theirs.
Next week, Stasia from Our Life on a Budget will be sharing her 10 things!
